Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) Working Parent Funding
Available at all Daisy Chain Childcare Settings
Due to the expansion of funding this now includes children from 9 months old from September 2024.
15 hours childcare support has been extended to eligible working parents of children from the age of 9 months to 3-year-old. This has been proposed to be extended to the 30 hours currently available to eligible 3-year-olds from September 2025
For those eligible for the additional 15 hours per week (30hr per week) that will take your 570 annual hours to 1140 hours annually.
To check your entitlement, you can apply online at https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/how-apply-help-childcare-working-parents
If you are eligible, you will receive an eligibility code that should be supplied to nursery. This will need to be renewed every 3 months to enable continued access to the additional funding. Responsibility for renewing this code rests with the parent.
- Parents can choose how the FEEE is allocated at Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) nursery settings up to a maximum of 2 providers It is no longer calculated on a pro-rata split. Parents will be asked to give information each term on how they want any split of FEEE funding between settings. Funding to school nurseries (including school academies) will still be given priority over the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) providers.
- If you choose to attend a private setting and a school nursery in the Leeds area, the school nursery will take priority over the private setting, and they will receive the FEEE funding.
Daisy Chain Childcare offers a high standard of education equivalent to that offered by school nurseries and we can claim FEEE on your behalf.
Funding is available for 38 weeks of the year, as most of our sites are open for 51 weeks there will be 13 weeks payable plus any attendance over the entitlement, this will be calculated pro rata over the academic year to assist with budgeting.
