Daisy Chain Childcare at Adel is a bright and friendly nursery situated in a quiet leafy setting. The purpose-built, single story nursery is designed to cater for young children’s needs with features that actively encourage child development. Because we believe children learn best through play, all resources are freely available at child height, encouraging independent play and self-choice. Our varied activities include French, Pyjama Drama, Dance, gardening and cooking.
There are four childcare rooms; two Baby Units (Pixies & Imps), an over 2’s Room (Sprites) and a pre-school room (Elves).
Each childcare room offers direct access to a safe outdoor play areas which includes a garden plot, soft play surface, baby play area, grassed playground, story corner and outdoor class room.
The nursery also enjoys access to the school’s nature garden and use of the school playing field for special events such as sports day.
Our well qualified staff team all share a love of working with children and follow a programme of continuous personal development. Each child has a dedicated key person who provides daily feedback on children’s progress and development.
Our on-site cook provides delicious, nutritious meals from freshly prepared local produce with a 5 weekly rolling menu. We are proud holders of a 5 Star Hygiene rating for Environmental Health.
The nursery is situated within school grounds allowing us to offer a “wrap around” service for the school’s nursery in addition to the full day care service for the wider community.

Hi, I am Sam, I am Nursery Manager at Adel. I joined Adel in 2009 as a nursery nurse and have been senior for the last 8 years experiencing different rooms. I qualified in 2009 with a Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education. Since qualifying I have had experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years working in private day care and work experience during college.
Throughout my career, I have attended training courses to enhance my skills and professional development which has supported me in my progression from nursery nurse to senior to nursery manager. I hold a Level 3 in Leadership and Management (ILM) and have attended Safeguarding for Management (LSCB). I believe all children should have the best start to early education and be able play and learn in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
