Stunning purpose-built nursery set within Lofthouse Children’s Centre

Welcome to our nursery in Lofthouse. Our purpose-built nursery is set within Rodillian Academy and alongside Lofthouse Children’s Centre. With a sizeable outdoor area, it is designed to cater for young children’s needs with features that actively encourage child development. Because we believe children learn best through play, all resources are freely available at child height, encouraging independent play and self-choice. Each nursery room has its own sheltered outdoor play area designed for the children’s specific ages and stages of development, which allows for all year-round outdoor play.

Opening Times

Our Lofthouse Nursery is open 51 weeks per year (except Public Bank Holidays).

Our daily opening times are:
Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

Meet Leigh Simms, the manager at Daisy Chain Lofthouse

I have worked at Daisy Chain since 2012 where I started as a nursery nurse in the Imps room at Lofthouse. Upon qualifying as an Early Years Teacher, I became a senior nursery nurse in the Elves room and went on to work as the Manager of our Middleton setting. After taking leave to spend time with my two children, I have thoroughly enjoyed being back at Daisy Chain where I have gained a wealth of experience working with different ages and stages of children, and love to see the positive impact we make every day. I became manager at Lofthouse in July 2025, leading a fantastic and caring team of practitioners.
