Booking & Enrolment

We recommend booking as early as possible, as places are limited and fill up quickly.

Absolutely! We encourage you to visit and explore our nursery, meet the team, and see our exciting activities in action.

Once you’ve chosen Daisy Chain, we’ll send you an electronic enrolment form. After completion, our nursery manager will confirm availability for your preferred days and start date. You’ll then be asked to pay a registration and retainer fee to secure your place.

We understand plans can change. We require 8 weeks’ notice to amend your start date or sessions. Without this notice, a full month’s fees will apply based on your original booking.

Settling In & Daily Life

We’ll send you a transition guide a few months before your start date. Settling-in sessions typically include 3 visits over 2 weeks, with flexibility for additional sessions if needed.

Children enjoy a balanced day of play, learning, meals, rest, and outdoor time. We follow a consistent routine to help children feel secure and confident.

Yes. Each child is assigned a key worker who builds a strong bond and supports their development. We also maintain consistency within room teams.

We provide daily feedback at drop-off and pick-up, plus updates via our online app Famly. You’ll also receive monthly newsletters and see notices on our parent board.

Health & Safety

Yes. All staff hold valid DBS certificates and are registered with the update service, regularly checked by our nursery manager.

Yes. All staff complete 12-hour Paediatric First Aid training within 6 months of joining. We proudly hold the Millie’s Mark Award for excellence in first aid.

We follow Department for Education guidelines on exclusion periods for common illnesses. These are outlined in our terms and conditions. If you need another copy, please ask the nursery manager.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer refunds for absences, as staffing is arranged based on your child’s scheduled attendance.

We play outside in all weathers and ask parents to provide suitable clothing. Fresh air is beneficial for recovery. If your child is too unwell to go outside, they should stay home.

We can administer prescribed medication with written parental consent. Please speak to the nursery manager to complete the necessary forms.

Nutrition & Meals

Our Adel, Lofthouse, and Rothwell nurseries offer a 4-week rolling seasonal menu, prepared fresh on-site by our nursery cooks. This is devised alongside statutory guidance provided by the government. We cater for allergies, intolerances, and religious preferences. Our Middleton Pre-school provides snacks.

Learning & Development

Each child has a personalised Learning Journey, accessible via Famly. It includes developmental milestones, observations, and special moments.

Yes! Parents can view, comment on, and add their own stories to help build a rich picture of their child’s growth.

We are committed to inclusive practice and work closely with families and professionals to support children with SEND. Please speak to the nursery manager to discuss your child’s needs.

Practical Info

We provide a pump bag for you to bring daily essentials. This could include dummies and comforters for sleep times, any formula milk if needed and lots of changes of clothes for messy and outdoor play times Please also bring weather-appropriate clothing (e.g. sunhat and suncream in summer, coats and wellies in winter). We also have toddler puddle suits for younger children whilst playing outdoors.

We use secure entry systems and follow strict safeguarding procedures to ensure your child’s safety.

We value open communication. If you have any concerns, please speak to your child’s key worker or the nursery manager. Formal complaints can be submitted in writing and will be handled according to our complaints policy.
