Wonderful pre-school set in Middleton.

Welcome to our pre-school in Middleton. We renovated the William Gascoigne Community Centre to create a vibrant, well-resourced pre-school where children can play and learn. It is designed to cater for young children’s needs with features that actively encourage child development. Because we believe children learn best through play, all resources are freely available at child height, encouraging independent play and self-choice. Each childcare room has direct access to its own outdoor play area with lots of exciting, challenging activities including mud kitchens, construction and garden areas.

Opening Times

Our Middleton Pre-school is open during term time (except Public Bank Holidays).

Our daily opening times are:
Monday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

The nursery rooms are well resourced and spacious, with a variety of outdoor play spaces, designed to be a home away from home environment.

Meet Helen Baker, the manager at Daisy Chain Middleton

I began my career in childcare in 2000 and became a nursery manager in 2009. Since joining Daisy Chain in 2012, I’ve found my role incredibly rewarding. I’m deeply passionate about giving young children the best possible start in life and take pride in making a positive impact—no matter how small—on their early education and development. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is watching children grow and thrive in a safe, stimulating, and fun environment. I’m fortunate to lead a dedicated team at Daisy Chain who all share a genuine love for working with children and a commitment to nurturing their potential from the very beginning.
